Researchers should use BioSimDB to ensure that valuable simulation data does not remain isolated on individual computers or buried in publications, but becomes a reusable scientific resource for the wider biomolecular simulation community.
Furthering Science
By capturing simulation data together with detailed information about the system, simulation methods, parameters and provenance, BioSimDB will make simulations findable, interpretable and reusable. This will enable researchers to reproduce and validate published work, compare simulations across studies and systems, perform large scale analyses, and provide high quality datasets for emerging data driven and machine learning approaches.
